We learn languages in different ways. One is the way we learn our mother tongue. We listen and imitate and the magic happens. We were children at that time and our brain power was much less than now.
Other way is the way we learn foreign language in school (not all schools, but many of it). We struggle with alphabets, grammar, and other things with very less practice. Usually we take very long time compared to the way we learned our mother tongue.
I have been trying the second way for learning foreign languages. But I'm trying to switch to first method. There are limitation as there are no foreign language speakers around. So I need to depend on YouTube videos (just listen even though I don't understand ), and try to imitate a few words, and try attending conversations like Langroop meetings even if I don't understand or can't speak more than a few words.
My interest is only to learn to speak as of now. If your interests and goals are different it might now be good for you :)
Please share your thoughts and interesting methods used to learn languages.
Happy learning.
