We know we want to learn a language and maybe even started doing so in the past only to give up after a short while. The question is, how can you get yourself back on track and improving daily? The secret may lay in a Japanese self-improvement philosophy called "The Kaizen Method". According to this method, the key to success in self-motivation, making lifestyle changes, and taking on new challenges is starting small. Learning a language takes a lot of time and dedication, but that doesn't mean you have to start off with a grand plan of 8 hours of learning a day. On the contrary, starting too big and biting off more than we can chew is actually why we end up giving up quickly and never reaching our goals. Instead, you should start with only one minute a day. Each day watch one short youtube video or look up one new word or answer one question on whichever language app you are using. Try and do this one minute of learning at the same time every day and after a few days, it will become a habit. You will find yourself slowly adding on another minute and another minute until you have built a stable learning schedule that will last.
